Why should I hire a wedding planner for my destination wedding?
When hosting a destination wedding, we highly recommend that you hire wedding planners, as each country has their own rules and specificities. What is the difference between an event/wedding planner and an event/wedding coordinator?
A planner is an individual who can assist with the planning of any aspect of the event. They can help to provide suggestions for decor, food, music, lighting concepts, timeline, etc. They will also help to research and secure various vendors, as well as handle big-picture projects. They also act as the Day-Of Coordinator for many of their planned events. A coordinator is someone who helps to tie all of the pieces together that have already been made by the client and to make sure the day-of goes smoothly. They assist with creating and implementing a timeline, communicating with the vendors on the day-of, and problem solving along the way. Many planners are also coordinators!
The Venue has a coordinator; do I need a wedding planner?
A venue coordinator and a freelance coordinator/planner are very different things, although their duties may sometimes overlap. While a venue coordinator is extremely helpful when planning the aspects of the day taking place at the venue, that is typically where their job ends. Venue coordinators work in the best interest of their venue, while serving the client and making sure their wishes are considered. A freelance coordinator/planner focuses on the entire wedding day, starting from very first thing in the morning until the event is completely over. Freelance companies, like SKE, work directly for the client while consulting with the venue coordinator to make sure their rules are followed. We often handle tasks out of the realm of a venue coordinator, such as bustling the dress, creating a master timeline for the entire day, or corralling everyone for photos.
What are 3D Event Visualization renderings?
3D Event Visualization renderings (or 3DEV’s) are a completely unique service that if offered by Sarah Kathleen Events. Using architectural grade software, a scale model is created of each client’s venue. We then use our program to add in all of the different event items you may need, like chairs, tables, a stage, screens, etc. This program allows us to show clients their events before they ever happen because they are 100% customizable! We can test layouts, sight lines, linen colors, menu cards, napkin styles, lighting concepts, chair styles, and more! Our 3DEV’s leave nothing up to chance on event day!
Do you cater to any specific religions?
Sarah Kathleen Events is a non-denominational company and are happy to assist with any type of religious ceremony. We consult with all of our clients before the wedding day to make sure all traditions and customs for that particular day are planned out perfectly.

How much communication will we have?
Our packages come with unlimited communication throughout planning. Face to face meetings will vary depending on package, but email, phone, and texting is encouraged whenever questions or concerns come up! Our team checks in with each client along the way to make sure everything goes smoothly during planning.
Will I have a wedding planner at my wedding/event?
Absolutely! We will ensure the entire day runs smoothly and as planned. We pride ourselves on being “hands-on” throughout the day!
